Carmel Daniele is the Founder & CIO of CD Capital and has over 30 years of natural resources experience around the world. She founded the CD Capital Management Group in 2006 which manages a number of private equity mining funds backed mainly by US Endowments & Foundations. Ms Daniele started off her career at Deloitte in various finance roles before her move to Newmont/Normandy Mining where as a Senior Group Executive participated in the corporate team’s structuring of cross-border mergers, acquisitions and divestments including the multi-billion dollar three-way merger between Franco-Nevada, Newmont and Normandy Mining. Ms Daniele currently sits on the board of Lundin Gold and Filo Mining that owns the Filo del Sol copper-gold-silver deposit located in Chile adjacent San Juan Province, Argentina.
 
Carmel holds a Master of Laws (Corporate & Commercial) and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
 


James Scott

James Scott

Project Manager

James Scott is a Professional Geologist with over eighteen years experience in mineral exploration and development, having worked with both with leading mining companies and junior exploration companies. Mr. Scott brings diverse experience in geology, studies, engineering, innovation, project management, and leadership in the advancement of projects from exploration through to acquisition and early development. As an independent consultant, Mr. Scott is currently supporting a number of clients in executive and advisory roles and was previously the technical lead on Kaminak’s Coffee Project leading up to and following acquisition by Goldcorp Inc. for $520M in 2016c.  Prior to the Coffee Project, he had led the resource definition program for Richfield’s Blackwater Davidson project which directly led to its acquisition by New Gold Inc. for $550M in 2011. Mr. Scott holds an M.Sc. from the University of Alberta and a B.Sc. from Carleton University.

Jason Quigley specializes in regulatory permitting, sustainability, fisheries and public consultation. He provides regulatory and Corporate Social Responsibility expertise for Constantia.


Garry Robert Hemming

Garry Robert Hemming

Director

Garry Robert Hemming is Senior Resource Geologist at CD Capital and has over 30 years’ experience in directorship roles and over 40 years as an exploration and senior resource geologist. He has worked on numerous projects throughout the world in many commodities for various companies such as Cove Resources, European Nickel, Reefton Mining, Mt Isa Mines, Cominco Resources.
 
Garry holds a Bachelor of Applied Science applied Geology from the South Australian Institute of Technology and is AusIMM Competent Person.
 


Olivia Chant-Tuft

Olivia Chant-Tuft

Director

Olivia Chant-Tuft is Financial Analyst at CD Capital and has over 4 years’ experience within the natural resources sector. She has held positions in Investment Banking with BMO Capital Markets and Exploration Geology with Boliden.
 
Olivia has a MSc in Metals and Energy Finance and MSci Geology, both from Imperial College London.
 


Sneha Desai

Sneha Desai

Director

Sneha Desai is Analyst at CD Capital with 4 years’ experience, having joined CD Capital’s technical team through the sponsored graduate programme. She has a primary focus on geology and is involved in planning of exploration programmes and ESG monitoring.

Sneha holds an MSci in Geophysics from Imperial College London.
